State of the State as I see it

Well, I am watching everyone scramble around for for games. Yeah, that PSR hits different when it comes scheduling time doesn't it?! "But coach, YOUR representation almost unanimously voted in favor for it." But did they? Doesn't sound like it. Have you been to an executive counsel meeting? Well they don't always vote the way the region sent them to vote...not saying that happened but we obviously spend enough time researching and thinking long-term unintended consequences of using PSR for playoffs. We saw something shiny and like a raccoon, grabbed it.

Here's what pisses me off. This is Georgia. Why are are we doing "what they do in Illinois, Indiana, insert place.?" Other places should be doing what we do. People come here to coach and play high school football and WE are doing what other people do?! That's a problem. But ya'll keep on. We that are on the way out will watch as ya'll continue to allow yourselves to be banged by the powers that be. You're getting played, allowing yourself to get played, and not even getting talked nice too about it.

Well there have been more jobs come open this week. I believe we are at 7 more than at this time last year. Reason? Couldn't tell you. What I DO know is that most of these jobs ain't worth a tinker's damn. But as always, someone, someone will fill every one of them!

Discovery- Good dude leaves the program in a heap better situation than he found it. But they admin decided to go in a hot different direction. Backwards is, in fact, a direction.

SUN Coach's rating-3

Mundy's Mill- 5 coaches in 6 years, it is mathematically improbably that all 5 of those men were incompetent.

SUN Coach's rating-2

Union Grove- IDK, seems to be looking for a HFC every 3 to 2 years or so. Must be a reason...

SUN Coach's rating-4

Winder-Barrow- The past 2 coach's had success at other places. One is a GA HOF guy. You aren't, good luck

SUN Coach's rating-4

McDonough- Henry County, there you go, lot of traffic, lot of schools, and the building admins don't tend to be pro sports. Until that changes, it don't really matter how good the county AD is.

SUN Coach's rating-2

Lanier County-You can SYS they know who they want and if he wants to trade a better living situation for a few more quick twitch muscle fibers it's his. If not, they have a plan B rest assured

SUN Coach's rating-4

South Paulding- Coach Allen did a great job here and is leaving on his own terms. Paulding County is a tough place to coach. Not because of kids, not because of support from community, not from a facilities stand point. There are other things and you can figure them out.

SUN Coach's rating- 5

Hardaway- Well, it is a magnetic/IB school in Columbus and they ain't Carver. That's where the football players go. You have the ROYS. ONLY way IMHO that this can be fixed is to hire an alum that is in the Atlanta area if he wants it. Odds are, he don't. It is Columbus after all.

SUN Coach's rating- 2

Vidalia- it's in Toombs County. It is the city school. The players all go to Toombs right now. AD is a great dude, Facilities are D1, region is gonna be rough because they all have D1 talent and you don't.

SUN Coach's rating- 5

 Camden County- Jon Lindsey (STAFF)

St. Pius X- well as my man Kevin W Stevenson call it, "Saint Pius The X" is open, I would think they probably want someone within the faith.

SUN Coach's rating: 5

Riverdale- When the admin point blank tells you they don't care about football and whether they win or lose..yeah

SUN Coach's rating: 1

Central Macon- well, a good friend of mine and a great person fought the good fight and now they will be in 5A. Admin is from MS and SHE is used to winning football games. Problem is you won't have the players for her to get what she wants. Good luck

SUN Coach's rating: 2

Ridgeland- I would imagine that this will stay on staff or one of those mountain coaches nearby will take it.

Rating: 7

Mountain View- Got athletes but not much support, good luck with that

Rating 4

Fannin Co- BOB and not even close

Rating 8

Riverwood- A magnetic school that has a revolving door and can't get assistants in. IB school and football is not important.

Rating 3

North Springs- Metro school that I don't know anything about other than past performance. I wouldn't imagine this is an easy job

Rating 4

Johns Creek- well, they want to do right, they have money, and they didn't score but 3 pernts all year. Good young guy job. Demographics don't lend themselves to football players and you ain't living anywhere near the school unless a booster puts you in their pool house or you married extremely well.

Rating 4

Wayne Co- The most dysfunctional school in the most dysfunctional part of the state. Check the history and ask questions. Kick tires, check the oil, and look at the rear view mirrors. I am 1-9 as a HFC (look it up) My one win.....vs these guys

Rating 3

Bainbridge- they won't do what needs to be done to compete with the locals. Been turned down more than the sheets at a Motel 6 in Jax during GA/FL week

Rating 3

Windsor Forest- It's Savannah, and it ain't one of the privatory schools in Savannah

Rating 2

Salem- Unrealistic expectations meet poor admin, check the history, not good

Rating 3

Westside Macon- You will follow one of the all time great dude/coaches to ever do it. If you have a ring, you will get paid, Bibb does pay, but, BUT it is Macon and you ain't NE

Rating 5

Banks Co: Mark Hollars (OC on staff)

Appalachee: Chuck Kenyon (DC on staff)
