Prom Time Megan

I knew this guy once that really liked this girl. They talked at times and when she needed a date, she would call him up. His dad used to give him a hard time and she became known to us as "Prom Time Megan." You could count on him showing up to prominent events with her as she needed a date and he wouldn't say "no."
I get a lot of "Prom Time Megans" these days. These dudes that see me at clinics and walk by like I have leprosy, look at me crazy, talk bad about me and my family/career/taste in clothes etc. That's fine, I really don't care about all of that as I am self-actualized. I say all of this to say this behavior amuses me.
I am a nobody from nowhere that has never done anything. Over my career of collecting all the t-shirts and racking up the U-Haul points, I have met a lot of great folks. I DO know a lot of folks. My character of MOCS has muddied the waters of what I actually know when it comes to baseball and football and that is fine too. Being the court jester is a character, finely developed over years of self-deprecating humor and abject nonsense.
It's that time of year. I get a lot of "Prom Time Megans." You need a date. You need me to help you out. I will of course. I always have, always will. I was raised by old-heads to be that way. Just know, there will come a day when rent is due. If you don't have anything on the table, you won't have to worry about catching no dog.....iykyk.
