It's Christmas Time in Hollis Queens...well, not quite but it is Festivus for the rest of us...and there is a record number of jobs open at this time(25 and I am pretty sure there are at least 2 more that haven't been made public yet), at least since I have been keeping up with it and that has been since some of ya'll were shittin' yella. Here are some more:
Dalton- Well, there is a blue print, if you can do that, you have a chance, if not, futbol is your best best, you will get paid, they got really nice digs, but 0-10?! Need players
Marietta- There is a dude nearby that covets this one and he has rings…will probably get another one this year
South Forsyth- yeah no, but a great place to work and live
SE Whitfield- nice place to live, but you ain’t gonna win no games…eva
NS WR- region is rough and 6A is a different animal and you need animals...animals like the rest of the 6A teams have, and facilities to attract said animals, and willingness to acquire said animals if you not have them...the game has evolved, change or die
Central Gwinnett- good luck following one of the best men in the business
Loganville- one and done…that ain’t good, great baseball school, AD is a good dude, people around you are really good
Etowah- don’t know enough about it to have an opinion
Northview- Very unique clientele, don't know where you will live but it WON'T be near the school unless you married very, very, very well
Lithia Springs- Douglas County school where you ain't Douglas County. You can throw a rock and hit Langston Hughes and Westlake too, so it's a battle royale for players. I worked there 20 years ago, LOVED it, it's different, but not a bad different
Alpharetta- I don't know enough about it to have an opinion
Berrien- good at baseball, great facilities now, traditionally hard place to win football games at. Lot of good to great coaches have tried, they can't all have been the problem
Dawson County- following a legend that may have done the best coaching job of his career this year. Great place to live and I would expect that due to the job that Coach Maxwell and his staff has done, there will be a pile of folks after this one
Murray County- oooooweeee, nice place to live, see SE Whitfield
Crisp County- One of my favorite places on Earth, love it, would go back tomorrow, great folks there, you can coach them hard, have to, be organized, be visible, and love on them jokers and they will run through walls for you
Flowery Branch- you can probably SYS, look for a famous alum to come home, if not, well, I got nothing
Booker T Washington- APS school that was competitive in a lot of games this year, tough region and it's metro so you need to be a metro guy APS pays well
KIPP Atlanta- APS school that was competitive in a lot of games this year, tough region and it's metro so you need to be a metro guy APS pays well
Josey- The home of the Sonic Boom of the South, always imitated but never duplicated, this school is in Augusta on 15th street and it ain't Laney, good luck
Veterans- nice place to live, about 7 miles from my doorstep (so we could play golf together) The competitive balance model is the ONLY thing that will help this one, ball and stick school
Meadowcreek- tough gig, Gwinnett school that has a very very diverse clientele. One person has won there and he ain't there no mo. Good luck
Westminster- I legend is retiring. I would imagine you can SYS. Most of these places have a succession plan in place and even if they don't, they stay in the family.
Greene County- This one hurt me in my plums. T Banks is one of the best in the business and did a freakin' OUTSTANDING job here. Gonna be a hard act to follow
ECI- One of the best in the business decided to step away. An all time favorite among the coaching community. I would think this one is a SYS and it stays in the family. It may have just taken over #1 on the BOB but that is for the committee to decide.
Pace Academy- Hey, you can work down the skreet from Brian Kemp, literally. Now you ain't gonna live no damn where near it, but it's nice Clark, real nice. The gym is a spectacle within itself, well the old one I saw in 19 aught and 96 was anyway.
